A fellow 4-H family sent this to me and I thought I’d pass it along.
Last year our family participated in the worldwide observance of Earth Hour. If you are not familiar with Earth Hour, I encourage you to visit https://www.myearthhour.org/home to learn more about this global campaign to bring awareness to climate issues. Be sure to watch the videos. They are pretty powerful. I hope you will join our family and millions around the world who will spend one hour in darkness. You’ll be surprised at how much fun it is to turn off the lights and break out the candles. If you have something special planned, feel free to email your ideas.
About Earth Hour: On Earth Hour hundreds of millions of people around the world will come together to call for action on climate change by doing something quite simple—turning off their lights for one hour. The movement symbolizes that by working together, each of us can make a positive impact in this fight, protecting our future and that of future generations. Learn more about how Earth Hour began, what we’ve accomplished, and what is in store for 2010.
