Brunswick County 4-H is searching for a responsible adult to lead an environment youth 4-H club in the Southport, NC area, the Enviro-Warriors. The leader will help youth become coping, competent, and contributing members of society through regularly held meetings, community service projects, and participating in county and state 4-H programs. A few of the activities this club has done in the past include the Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Program, Envirothon, and environmental education booths at local festivals. Responsibilities include completing club paperwork, coordination of parent volunteers/helpers, and planning educational activities for club meetings. Club leaders must work well with youth and adults, and have excellent organization, communication, and time management skills. Volunteers are required to submit an application, receive a reference and background check, and attend volunteer orientation.
