4-H Scholarship for Seniors March 15, 2010

Here is a 4-H Scholarship available to rising seniors….this scholarship is in addition to the William Michael Vatavuk 4-H Memorial Scholarship awarded through our statewide selection process that recently concluded.  This scholarship honors the same great 4-H alumnus, but is awarded by another group with which he was very involved during his lifetime. Although the Bennett Place State Historic Site is located in Durham County, the family wants to be sure 4-H’ers across the state are aware of this opportunity. They encourage 4-H’ers to apply.

Note the April 5 deadline. Questions should be directed to the Bennett Place Support Fund, Inc.

Mr. Chandler Vatavuk, Chairman

The Bennett Place Support Fund, Inc. a 501 C3 non profit organization, whose mission is to support Bennett Place State Historic Site, is honoring one of its late members and contributors of Bennett Place with an academic scholarship award. This scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a deserving student who is a rising senior of a North Carolina high school. The scholarship will be presented to the award winner, THURSDAY, April 15, 2010 at 7PM at Bennett Place State Historic Site during the 145th Surrender Commemoration events.
