4-Hers Attend Jr. Leader Ski Retreat January 22, 2010

Eleven youth from Brunswick County joined 60 youth from the Southeast District in a Jr. Leader Ski Retreat in Black Mountain, North Carolina.  During the three day weekend, participants learned about 4-H science curriculum including rocketry and earth worms, participated in team building and prevention workshops, and skied at Cataloochee Ski Resort.  Several of the teens who attended the retreat plan to teach a workshop for younger youth during the 4-H Summer Fun program.  Participants from Brunswick County were  Dillon Bernheisel, John Bernheisel, Janzen Jones, Kirra Jones, Karen Lang, Maddy Lang, Sammi Lawrence, John Macon Michaux, Kelsey Sanders, Hannah Wallace and Andrew Walton.
