It is time for the 2009 State 4-H Council Conference!  Youth from Brunswick County will have the opportunity to attend the State 4-H Council Conference November 21-22 at the Hilton North Raleigh.  This conference is for youth ages 13-18 on January 1, 2009.  Exciting workshops and speakers have been planned for the event. The North Carolina State 4-H Theme this year is “We Are 4-H: Then, Now, & Forever”.  Some workshops will focus on this theme; however, the majority of the workshops will be leadership workshops.  The cost for the conference is $137.00 which covers lodging, meals, and registration.  Transportation to and from the conference will be provided from the Cooperative Extension Office in Bolivia, NC.  Four-H scholarship monies accumulated during this year may be used toward the registration fee.  A “day only” registration fee of $85.00 is being offered as well as “banquet only” tickets at the cost of $40 per ticket for Saturday.  If you would like to sign up for this conference or would like more information, please contact Blair Green, Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development at 910-253-2610 or at blair_wooten@ncsu.edu.  Deadline to register is Wednesday October 28th, 2009.
