Starting this fall there will be several new Junior Master Gardener 4-H Clubs for youth in grades 3-5. All of the new club leaders are Brunswick County Master Gardeners and have received 6 hours of volunteer training. The JMG program is a new and innovative 4-H youth gardening project. It is modeled after the highly popular Master Gardener program, and offers horticulture and environmental science education through fun and creative activities. Club members will receive a Level 1 Junior Master Gardener Handbook published by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Please help us spread the word about this great opportunity for youth and let us know if you are interested in joining! More info will come about time and location of first club meetings. Check out the JMG website at jmgkids.us.
