On Friday, March 6th, 14 4-Hers from Brunswick and New Hanover Counties traveled to Boone, North Carolina together for the County 4-H Council’s annual ski trip at the Appalachian Ski Resort. Hats, gloves, and jackets were not needed as we took to the slopes for our lesson on Saturday morning. Temperatures were near 70 degrees by mid-day so it didn’t feel like a typical winter ski trip. We were able to ski all day until around 9pm that evening, taking breaks only for lunch and dinner. After a long day of skiing and snowboarding, we looked more like we had spent a day at the beach than a day in the mountains.
Here are a few pictures from our trip!
There are plenty more pictures, check here for more on our Brunswick County 4-H website. County 4-H Council is for youth ages 13-18 and meet on the 2nd Tuesday each month. If you are interested in joining just call our office to enroll.
