The Bright Ideas Education Grant Program, sponsored by North Carolina’s Touchstone Energy cooperatives, provides funding for a variety of hands-on classroom projects for K-12 students throughout the state. Grants of up to $2,000 are awarded to North Carolina teachers for innovative, classroom-based projects that would not otherwise be funded. Applications are accepted from teachers in a variety of disciplines, including music, art, history, reading, science, career planning, and information technology.
The application deadline is September 20, 2010. Visit the program’s website to submit an online application. http://www.ncbrightideas.com/overview.aspx
