Creation Celebration April 23-24, 2010 April 14, 2010

Creation Celebration 2010 will take place at One Life Base Camp on April 23 (4-10pm) and April 24 (10am-10pm) located at 2765 River Road, Winnabow, NC, which is next to the new Brunswick County Nature Park.

Dishes must be present for judging at 1:00PM on April 24, 2010. Winner will be announced at 3:00pm. Ingredients list must be available to judge or you will be disqualified. Each dish must contain a spring fruit or vegetable and it must be made with sustainable ingredients.

Now you have an exciting, new way to be a part of 4-H’s success! During the month of April, join 4-H’s Give2Vote Challenge by texting CLOVER to 50555 to give $10 in support of 4-H in your state. You can also take the Challenge by making a secure online donation at 4-H.org to benefit your state 4-H program.
When you give, you vote! Each $10 mobile gift or online donation counts as one “vote” towards your state. The state with the most “votes” at the end of the Challenge receives an additional $5,000. It’s that easy! Voting ends April 30th.

Dive into a Career: 4-H Poster Contest April 8, 2010
Who can participate? All youth ages 9 –18
Dive into a Career!
• 9-10 Age Division • 11-13 Age Division • 14-18 Age Division
When? Posters are due to the Brunswick County 4-H Office on Monday May 24th.
Where? You can participate in your local community!
Why? To investigate and learn more about a career that interests you!
Theme? “Career Exploration”
How?
1. Poster must be on standard poster board and must be of uniform size 22” X 28”– other sizes
are ineligible.
2. Use theme to select a career you are interested in and share it with us! For example:
“Explore Nursing.”
3. Newspaper and film cartoon characters may not be used.
4. Posters must contain only original artwork done by the artist.
5. Do not attach items thicker than the poster board to the poster.
6. Keep it simple and to the point.
7. The posters will be displayed in a prominent location in your hometown during the month of May or
June. For example: local library, vet’s office, grocery store, school, or extension office.
8. Complete a contest entry form and tape/paste it on the back of your poster.

Winners?
The top poster in each age division from each participating county will move onto district
competition. District competition will be held during the six 4-H District Activity Days with the top
poster in each age division at the district level competing for state awards. The state competition
will be held during in July during 4-H Congress. All State level entries will be displayed during 4-H
Congress.
Prizes?
• Every entry will receive a participation certificate.
• County Winners: in each age divisions receive a certificate.
• District Winners: in each age division will receive a District Award Ribbon & Certificate.
• State Winners: in each age division will receive a $25 cash award and State Winner Certificate.
